How do I change my school's Behaviour Settings?

How do I change the settings in the Behaviour Module to suit my school's needs

You can switch off any of the standard incident fields in the Behaviour module that are not required in Admin>Settings>Incidents To switch off the field click on the green/white button and the option will change to white meaning that the field is switched off.

The Default Emails setting if switched on will automatically send all users set as behaviour administrators a copy each time an incident is logged.

The site option can be used for schools that have more than one site or SOLAR multi-school hubs. When this is switched on a site drop-down will appear on the incidents logging page. Once a site is selected SOLAR will display the locations within that site for you to choose where the incident occurred.


The form also has 12 customisable fields that you can rename in Admin>Terminology>Incidents.

Once you have switched off fields you do not wish to use and renamed the customisable fields you can then drag and drop all of the fields into your required order.

Then remember to click Save changes

Note1: If you have already entered data into this field this data will no longer display in the Incident and no more data can be entered into this field.  If you subsequently switch the field back on any data that was already entered will display again.

Note 2: Overview, Time, Location, Severity and Physical Intervention are key to running Behaviour reports on SOLAR as SOLAR uses these fields to analyse the data. If you switch any of these fields off you will no longer be able to analyse incidents by these fields.
