How to use the Behaviour Feature on TrackAble
The Behaviour feature allows you to log, track, and manage behaviour incidents for your pupils. Since every school sets up TrackAble differently based on their specific needs, your behaviour system will be customized to your school—including incident types, injury types, locations, and severity levels.
Logging an Incident
To record a behaviour incident:
- Click Add Incident
- Select the main pupil involved
- Add any other pupils involved (optional)
- Add any staff members involved (optional)
- Use the interactive body map to mark injury locations if applicable (shows front and back views)
- Indicate whether a behaviour plan is in place
- Record if a physical intervention occurred
- Log details about informing parents
- Flag as a safeguarding incident if needed
- Save the incident
You can also set up automatic emails, manually email individuals, or send a summary to external parties (local authorities, parents, guardians) before saving.
Copying an Incident
If a pupil has the same type of incident multiple times in a day:
- Click the drop-down menu on the existing incident record
- Select Copy
- A duplicate is created with a new date and timestamp
- Edit any details (staff, pupils, notes, etc.)
- Save the updated record
Archiving an Incident
When a pupil leaves the school:
- Click the arrow below their incident record
- Select Archive
- The incident is archived and removed from active view
Searching Incidents
Use the search field to find incidents by:
- Specific pupil name
- Keywords (e.g., "absconding", "injury type", etc.)
This makes it easy to track patterns or find specific incidents quickly.
