How to Use the Reporting Feature in TrackAble

TrackAble's reporting feature helps schools analyze pupil progress, track compliance requirements, monitor behavior, and make data-driven decisions. Whether you're checking individual pupil progress or reviewing school-wide trends, the reporting system offers flexible options to generate the insights you need.

Accessing Reports

To access reports:

  1. Go to the Assessment screen
  2. Click the Reporting icon in the interactive menu
  3. You'll see all available reports organized by category

Report Categories

Reports are organized into four main categories:

  • Progress Comparison Reports — Track pupil progress toward targets and against peers
  • ISP/EHCP Reports — Manage and track Individual Support Plans and Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Incident Reports — Monitor behavior and safeguarding incidents
  • Pupil Information Reports — Access pupil data, baselines, and overall attainment

Common Reporting Options

Every report in TrackAble shares similar filtering and configuration options:

Selecting Pupils

Choose which pupils to include in your report:

  • Search by individual pupil name
  • Include all pupils (including those who have left the school)
  • Use pre-populated groups: pupil premium, specific classes, disability criteria, or custom cohorts

Selecting Subject or Framework

  • Run the report for a full framework across all subjects, or
  • Drill down into individual subjects by expanding the framework arrow

This flexibility lets you generate school-wide reports or focus on specific subject areas.

Setting Timeframes

Choose the data period you want to analyze:

  • A specific academic year
  • A particular term-end date
  • Multiple years for trend analysis
  • A specific calendar year

Viewing and Exporting

Select how you want to access your report:

  • View on screen for quick review
  • Export to Excel (offers additional features for handling raw data and adding pupil information)
  • Export to PDF for printing or sharing with stakeholders
  • Email directly through TrackAble to parents, governors, or external agencies

Key Report Types

Achievement Report

Shows where each pupil is in their learning journey:

  • Current class and subject performance
  • Position relative to their targets
  • Term-on-term progress tracking

Use this to monitor individual pupil progress and celebrate achievements.

Matrix Report

Provides a school-wide overview at a glance:

  • Percentage of pupils below, just below, on, or exceeding targets
  • Hover over cohorts to see which specific pupils are included
  • Useful for leadership teams reviewing school performance

Group Attainment Report

Compare specific cohorts against the rest of the school:

  • Compare pupil premium students to the school average
  • Analyze progress by SEN status, gender, or other criteria
  • Identify which groups may need additional support

Levels Report

Check and verify pupil baselines:

  • View all pupils and their baseline levels
  • Filter for "unbaselined" pupils to find data issues
  • Ensure all pupils have correct starting points before assessing progress

ISP/EHCP Reports

Track compliance and support for pupils with additional needs:

  • Focus by specific support area
  • Filter by completion status
  • Trace uncompleted targets across the school
  • Ensure all pupils receive their planned support

Behavior Report

Analyze incident patterns to inform safeguarding and behavior strategies:

  • View incidents by day of week, time, location
  • Track by severity and involved staff
  • Identify patterns to help develop targeted action plans
  • Support evidence-based behavior management
