How do I use Routes for Learning?
Routes for Learning Route Map
1. Add the Routes for Learning assessment framework onto your SOLAR in Admin>Choose Assessment Framework.
2. Open the assessment framework in admin and make sure the levels are in the right order. For instructions on how to do this click here.
3. Allocate the Routes for Learning framework to your classes. For instructions click here.
4.To use Routes for Learning Feature on SOLAR you must use the Routes for Learning feature. This must be enabled in user group permissions. To check how to set permissions click here
5. Select the pupil that you want to make the Route Map for within Routes for Learning.
6. At this point you can select one of the main routes by selecting the option at the top of the page e.g. Main Cognitive Route and SOLAR will show you using arrows what that route is and you can then click on the check box for each lozenge that you wish to add to your Route Map or you can just select which lozenges that you wish to use and create your own route.
7 When you have selected your lozenges you will see that they change colour to show that they have been selected. You can also set a target date by clicking on 'no date set' within the lozenge.
8. To do assessment all that you need to do is click on a star in the lozenge and SOLAR will open a star card for you to complete your assessment and evidence gathering in the same way you would with any other framework on your SOLAR.
9. At the top of the screen you have an option to print the Route Map and also view the Route Map for a previous year. When you are viewing a previous years Route Map you also get the option to copy it from a previous year.
